Good experience

This place was really good. They were ready for us when we got there. Really strict with the COVID rules, very thorough with explaining on how to ride the horse. The trail was nice, she took the horses on different paths (not just plain, straight path), took pictures while we were on the trail for us. Two things to improve: cleaning the helmets after use & provide the riders with tick spray or ask them to use it before coming to the farm. Also, they could provide us with something water & soap to clean after the ride. The price is a little high & I recommend this place.

We just got back to the hotel this evening...but I wanted to write my review immediately. I have twin girls that are 7. They both agree this was “the best day ever). We have no experience riding. This was a first for their mom as well 😂. The lesson was insightful. Elinor was super knowledgeable. She was a wonderful teacher, making my girls master their first time riding a horse by giving them the reins (literally). The girls stepped up and it was wonderful for their confidence. She took her time and really seemed to enjoy what she does. The horses were happy and gentle! We will be back. Thank you for giving us a forever memory. Till the next time!!!🙏🏼

Trail ride in the Catskills

I called in advance to book my trail. We were a party of 4.
Elinor made it clear to us she schedules appointments on the hour.

We arrived 15 min early as requested and was created by 2 beautiful dogs.
We are big animal lovers.
Elinor is very safe with COVID-19. People think this virus isn’t present in the country. They are sadly mistaken. My wife works in a doctors office and felt very comfortable with Elinor taken all the precautions.
The trail was very nice and elinor gave us a lot of instructions to help my sons first time who is 7 years old.
We highly recommend.

terrible walk dont run

elinore is rude, nasty, and unprofessional. As an avid horse rider, I can say I will NOT be back. You just lost an amazing customer.

i will never go back. i had a lesson paid for in advance and never got my lesson. how does someone operate like this? its very simple to speak and act respectfully. I am in shock.

upon pulling up i was greeted disrespectfully. dont know how this lady is still in business, but definitely recommend to steer clear.

We found bridle hill farm from Kate. It’s way over due for us to write a review.
We have been visiting bridle hill farm for the past 6 years. Horses always look beautiful. And the trail guide is always informative and helpful. We usually pay extra for the private trail; for us it’s worth it. We prefer to just ride with our group. Great place. We highly recommend bridle hill farm.

Great place.Instructions are given all through out lessons and trails. My family has owned hoses and road in shows so I was curious to visit this farm. My kids started talking about riding and it was time.
We have been going to Bridle Hill Farm for over 9 years, John Anello was our first instructor.
The farm is gorgeous and the horses are gorgeous. The owner is is very nice and informative. Megan has given us the trails on and off for the past few years and is very sweet and always very informative. The riding program for kids is great in the summer. Elinor is top notch as in instructor. If you like horses this is the place. We love bridle hill farm

Great place. Like family to us. Elinor has taught our family and friends that visit. Trails are a lot of fun and summer riding program is reasonable. Our children have enjoyed many great summers with bridle hill farm.
Horses are beyond taken care of. Visit and see all the beauty that you can experience with horses

WORST PLACE EVER
Nov 2019
We were extremely disappointed with the way we were treated at Bridle Hill Farm, and appalled by the very poor condition of their horses (see photos). We felt they were rude and offensive to us, and we observed a lesson being taught by one of the owners where she was teaching her student how to hold the reins backwards! We saw riders with helmets that sat way back on their heads, which is a serious safety concern. We also observed that they stuff many saddle pads and blankets under and around the saddles because they were so poorly fitted to the horses. We later learned that there are no trails on their own property, and they do not have the actual property owner’s permission to use those trails. We definitely can not recommend this place to anyone.
