I love books. I love smelling old books and this place did not disappoint! Unlike most used book stores, this one is really well-organized. I found so many interesting books at cheap prices. Lots come from university students, so there are tons of absurdly specific books on obscure subjects (my favorites) as well as typical sci-fi stuff. No Twilight books here! The fiction section is pretty highbrow and full of classics.
If you're a sci-fi nerd, stop in at the upstairs Ten Forward café. It's full of Star Trek memoribilia and has games set up on the tables (chess, etc.). The biography section is along the outside walls (again, impressively organized). It's a welcoming, completely inclusive atmosphere full of eclectic, friendly people.
I probably spent a good five hours here and bought eleven books. I didn't even venture downstairs to the record collection! This store is a dream come true for nerdy intellectual bibliophiles and a great place for anyone else. Don't miss it!

Whenever we’re in at the Commons, our first destination for years has been Autumn Leaves Used Books. Never disappoints! I always find some eclectic book on Tibetan culture or a rare book of fiction, a neat cookbook that’s old and interestingly different. The staff is knowledgeable and familiar. So happy to see Frank still works here!
As usual, picked out some wonderful additions to our book collection!

Thank you Autumn Leaves for packaging my used book so lovingly and sending it to me, when to carry it on the plane would have put me over my weight limit - yikes! I stop at your store every time I am home in Ithaca and always find a great selection of unique books I can't find anywhere on the west coast. You guys love books and it shows! Please always be there!

What a choice of books and vinyl. Lots of choice from cookery, to fiction, to languages and much more.
Well worth a visit if you are in the area.

Whether you're looking for a book to read or trying to find some vinyl to add to your collection, Autumn Leaves is an excellent shop. The staff are very friendly and knowledgeable and the selection is amazing. Books are on the main floor, Vinyl and CDs are downstairs. And don't miss the excellent café upstairs to complete the experience.

I try to stop in every time I go to Ithaca. They have a big selection of books that are always changing, so you never know what you are going to find here. In addition to newer books they also have a selection of rare antique books and records too.

Nice used book store, but the real gem is downstairs at Angry Mom Records. This used record/CD store is awesome. Huge selection. A very affordable way to build your tangible music collection.

This bookstore is pretty cool. I wandered around checking some things out. Nice selection. Very welcoming vibe there. But I'll be honest I was here seeking the infamous Angry Mom's record store. The entrance to the bookstore has two window displays: one for the book store, one for the record store. Walking in it's hard to say where the record store is. You've got to walk to the back and head down the stairs. And there you will find a massive collection of very reasonably priced vinyl. I read somewhere the owner(s) use the approach that these records are meant to be played. I'm sure they have some collectible stuff that some collectors would want to leave in shrink-wrap etc. But what's the point of owning a record if you're not gonna listen to it? They have a decent selection of used CDs as well. As I wandered through the bins of albums I found something I'd been looking for: a nice near mint copy of Jimmy Cliff's "Club Paradise" soundtrack. $3. Sold! They have two listening stations et up to if ya wanna check things out before you make a purchase. Not to sound like a cliche record store review, but I could've spent all day in here. Go check it out.....

If you are a book or a record hound this is the place for you. Three floors of used books and records in a very inviting space in Downtown Ithaca. My kids got many books and I was overwhelmed by the vinyl selection. Everything from Alternative to Jazz. I could spend all day in here, especially because they have a cafe as well.
