We visited on a Saturday morning and got there just in time for the tour. The docent was pleasant and knowledgeable enough, but I would have liked to see more specimens and hear a sample of bird audio. Instead we walked through corridors and had...More

Visited today to see Jane Kim's bird mural and wow this is absolutely not to be missed. You will see a representative of every family of bird from the world in a giant mural. Overlaying this in black and white are the extinct birds. Besides...More

Sapsucker woods bird sanctuary has several trails to follow. It was a spontaneous descision to go bird watching and we were delighted our guide had extra pairs of binoculars to share with us. A lively location with ponds and surprisingly very few bugs at the...More

This is an outstanding preserved ecological habitat as well as an excellent museum and teaching facility.

This was probably the busiest place we visited in Ithaca. A modern building with large viewing windows for observation and many trails for walking among nature's creations. Parking can be a little confusing and the gift shop is very high end and clearly overpriced.

Fabulous place. Its run by Cornell so anything I can say is unnecessary. Whether you just like birds, are a birder, or are working on your PhD in ornithology it doesn't matter. This is the place for you. Trails and pond are great too.

I'll admit it, I'm no professional birder. But I know many by sight and sound. I'll also admit to being spoiled. We live near the Bergen Swamp in upstate New York, and on any given day at our home, we see a bigger variety and...More

We are not avid bird watchers but decided to try this. the trail is serene and beautiful. our best shot at viewing birds was at the lily pond. We also got to see some snakes (nothing dangerous and not on the trail path)

Affectionally called the Bird Lab. This Cornell facility is the mecca for birdwatcher. There are numerous trails you can birdwatch from, or you can simply watch the birds visiting the bird feeders from the comfort of the lab's atrium. There are not many exhibits, but...More
