The Upper Park trail is especially stunning. You have two choices to walk the circular route: the path on the right (going up), you walk down many stairs; if you take the straighter path on the left following the water, you have to walk up them. Your choice. It's an easy enough and beautiful walk for young children (our grandsons... More

Treman State Park is a personal favorite of our family for weekend hikes. The choices of trails and terrain mean that there's something for avid hikers as well as those just out for a Sunday walk in the woods. If you can, do climb up to the top and see the falls!

One of the most beautiful places you will ever see. You can hike and hike until you find remote falls, and hidden ponds. So amazing!!!!!!

We went to the Robert Treman State Park last week. When we planned the trip we were hoping for snow and ice but there was not much of either, The lower park was open to photograph but not the upper park where Lucifer Falls is due to hazardous conditions. We were still able to photograph the Treman falls from right... More

My favorite place to hike in Ithaca. Spectacular falls. Challenging hiking loops. Great nature experience.

One of the most beautiful arrival sequences of any of New York's state parks, Looks like a nice little gorge when you arrive and then captures you into a beautiful and entrancing set of cascades that keeps drawing you in. Delightful little trip. Be sure to stop in at the old mill at the Upper Treman parking area, a nice... More

Great place to be with nature especially in the spring, before it greats really busy during the summer. The rushing waters were awesome and constantly changing. Definitely worth the effort if you enjoy hiking in hilly terrain, fair warring though it is not an "easy stroll" in the park.

It is like a bit of Lord of the Rings a few miles from Ithaca. We always take guests to walk down from the top. The approach through the woods is fabulous, and then you come upon the gorge and are transfixed. BTW don't miss the old mill also at the top, and the exhibit of pics from the CCC... More

I've been visiting this place for 47 years, and have always had a wonderful time here in all seasons. There are two ways to get here by car, with parking at the upper and lower ends off Enfield Falls Rd. You can also get there by foot, as the Finger Lakes Trail goes through it, with a lean-to for overnight... More
