We visited Gourdlandia in mid-June 2021 as an impromptu outing. Graham was flexible and fit us into her morning schedule. We worked on the gourd night light. With some direction on the drilling bits, we quickly started designing our night lights - fun, relaxing and overall enjoyable family event. Graham's work is also truly masterful - we purchased the carved gourd boat with succulent plants and lovely lamp with designed gourd shade. We hope to try the gourd snow globe on our next visit. Make time to enjoy Gourdlandia to carve your own gourd creation with Graham!

So I found Gourdlandia on a google search and I decided to check it out. Let me just saw that this was a super cool place. When I got there I wasn’t quite sure what to expect and of course what I thought I would see was totally incorrect. As I walked to the front door from my car. I looked out at land and a farm. It was peaceful and I just didn’t know what to expect. As I opened the door, the owner, a woman named Graham greeted me. She was kind with a bit is a sparkle in her eyes. I could tell from the moment I met her that she truly LOVED creating her artwork using all different types of gourds. Let me say just how beautiful her work is! There were boxes and lamps and wall art and faces and nightlights and necklaces and more items than I can name. Each one was unique and beautiful. Some were rather whimsical and others were more serious. All of them made me want to look at each one and see the intricate details. It was a wonderment. I enjoyed talking with Graham and learning more about gourds in general and her gourd art in particular. She definitely has a beautiful heart and that is so apparent in her beautiful work. I see it as a skill that few people have. I believe Graham sees it as her calling. You can just tell how much she enjoys creating beautiful, unique pieces of art. I highly recommend visiting this interesting place and buying a piece of her work that makes you smile. Next time I’m in the area, I will definitely stop there to see what new items await!

I have always loved gourds especially in the Autumn. We really got lucky and made a stop at this amazing shop. Graham holds classes as well and I did a nite light with a shamrocks design. For $25.00 you get the class and your gourd to take home with you. She was so kind and helpful and I really enjoyed the peaceful atmosphere. This is truly a hidden treasure that you do not want to miss!

My whole family (3, 5, 12, 14and adults) LOVED making art at gourdlandia. The nightlights look gorgeous no matter how well done. The bowl projects are perfect for building young kids’ attention span— long, but with lots of different components and things they can really do. Graham is kind and patient. We left with kids art that looks great and we can use.

What can i say about Gourdlandia---It was Fantastic!! Graham is incredibly sweet and genuine and she even accomodated our unexpected change in plans...I brought my family..adult children...and everyone loved it. She is so knowledagle and talented and helped those of us without much artistic talent to create beautiful and fun gourd nightlights. Gourdlandia is perfect for all ages and I highly recommend it during a trip to Ithaca.

A lot of people come here for the classes and to make gourd art themselves; I was happy just to shop. The clearance shelf has incredible deals; we ended up bringing home a gourd clock :D

In a beautiful little house at the edge of the Ecovillage at Ithaca, this workshop is a warm and lively place to visit. Everything imaginable made out of gourds: lamps, nightlights, piggybanks, baskets and containers, and lots more. The designs are delightfully whimsical and lighthearted, and the artist is here to show how the work is done and take visitors on a tour of the gourd garden right outside. Workshops too, with small guided projects, in case you want to try your hand at it. My husband made a 3-gourd chandelier to go over our dining table! Great place to visit, especially with kids who like making stuff, and a fine option for a rainy-day activity.

A very unique and fun place. Located just outside of Ithaca- just up the hill, in a wonderful cabin -studio that the artist’s husband built for her. Gourdlandia is located at EcoVillage at Ithaca, We have probably all seen at various art shows or agricultural expos, art made from dried gourds, but this is what this artist solely works with. Lamps, clocks, lampshades, baskets, and many other things. She works with 30-50 different types of gourds and grows most of them out in her garden right outside the garden. The artist, Graham Ottoson took us for a nice tour of her garden and answered all of our questions. I found a nice gift for my wife here. There is another artist in residence here also.
