Taughannock Falls State Park is a must see, especially after a wet season. My family and I were lucky enough to view the tallest falls, this side of the Rockies, during the summer when we had heavy rain. If parked at the visitor's center, you...More

A great park with stunning views of the waterfalls and lake. Parking can be a little tight on the weekends but between the two parking areas you can usually find a spot. They have a clean bathroom in the park office and the trail to...More

We stayed in Kings Ferry so a short drive down to Ithaca or up to Aurora. Both lovely places. Plenty to see all around the lake, from wildlife centres to the tallest waterfall in the state. Beautiful in fall.

This is a beautiful lake., Stevens Park (at the south end) is a great flat park -- good for running & biking. It also has several playgrounds for different ages & some shelters.

The falls are higher than Niagara, the bowl it descends into is a visual geology lesson, the park it is in is textbook Finger Lakes. Don't miss the scenic overlook view but the REAL bonanza is hiking down to the edge of the Falls itself...More
