Ok, so I'm biased. I've loved Cayuga for 57 years now, in all seasons, and from thousands of angles. It has changed a lot in that time, as zebra mussels have moved in. And it no longer ices up much in these warm winters. But it's still great for boating, sailing, swimming, and bicycling around. I like to ride a... More

A marvelous waterfall in the distance teases you to make he trek to the bottom of the gorge and hike to the foot, but it is not necessary. The visitors' center and ample parking make the view from the top every bit as awesome. A wonderful place for kids and adults both.

Even when the day looks a little gray, the view is outstanding! Just sit, relax, and enjoy the view. The area was upgraded when we went, a new building with new amenities. Will check it out during the spring :)

Words cannot describe the beauty of the scenic overlook views of the Ithaca falls. Read the history signage and get a real feel for how these falls became so important to the community.

We are blessed with beautiful lakes, great hiking, biking and boating. Best place to launch is Treaman State Park. Great amenities.

Enjoy the view from the overlook but head to the parking lot on the lower level and hike 3/4 mile to the falls. Icy in winter so wear good boots but so glad we made the trek. Phenomenal.

We have been in the summer and today in the snow! We go into Stewart park and sit on the swinging bench and watch the wildlife under the huge willow trees. It's also good to watch the sail boats in the summer.

A dozen miles from downtown Ithaca, which is georgous for gorges. Out of all falls of the area this is the tallest (214 ft), and the most spectacular one. To the east lies the Cayuga Lake where the Taughannock Creek joins. All the three make it a must see.

I was in the area for the first time and stopped to take in the view on a beautiful fall day. Very convenient to Ithaca and easy to access. Don't miss this!

It is a short drive from Ithaca; the viewing area is minutes from the parking lot. Well worth the time to visit.
