At the great cave of the Northeast, an elevator takes you 156’below ground. The doors open into a prehistoric underground cavern 6,000,000 years in the making! Trained tour guides help negotiate the cave and teach about its magnificent natural features. Back on the surface, mine for gemstones at Howe Caverns Mining Co. Beginning summer 2011, enjoy the first phase of Howe High Adventures—featuring ropes courses, climbing walls, zip lines and more!

Lovely to explore caves and do something different & educational but still fun. Our 6 & 5 year old loved the boat ride & coloured lights. Long waits on the holiday weekend, best to go before the crowds arrive. Cave can feel a bit busy...More

This place is great! Kids friendly adventure. We had lots of fun just dress warmly. They also provide outside cages for dogs if you travel with your companion.

We had belated honeymoon at Howe Caverns back in 2012 and returned again in 2013. Now we return every other year for the spectacular caves that we just have to see again and again with family. I went here as a girl on field trips...More

My son is in a boot cast, he can walk, but would you recommend going now? And how crowded are you Memorial Day? Looking for last minute ideas.
