At the great cave of the Northeast, an elevator takes you 156’below ground. The doors open into a prehistoric underground cavern 6,000,000 years in the making! Trained tour guides help negotiate the cave and teach about its magnificent natural features. Back on the surface, mine for gemstones at Howe Caverns Mining Co. Beginning summer 2011, enjoy the first phase of Howe High Adventures—featuring ropes courses, climbing walls, zip lines and more!

This is the second cave I been too. This one is the largest. It's very commercial but fun. Tours of 30 go at a time. Get there at opening. If not the lines are long.

My family liked Howe Caverns. The site is located on a beautiful hill with green pastures and site looks like a large family cabin. The entrance greets you to the lobby, gift shop, ice cream shop and line to buy tickets. The tours occurred for...More

We did the tour many years ago when the kids were younger and it was just as interesting now that they are teenagers --- and just as crowded. We waited 1 1/2 hours but the time went pretty quickly. Our tour guide was excellent and...More

Haven’t been there for years and the tour was enjoyable and interesting. The walking not strenuous and the boat ride fun.

It's a cool place. You'll be there a couple of hours. The caverns are fun. If you're allergic to mold or mildew then take Benedryl before you go down and maybe after too. The little boat ride is the best part. The cheese that is...More

We visited here even though some people said it was just ok. I am glad we did because I thought it was a spectacular form of nature to explore. It's a constant 50 something degrees so it was warmer than outside! It takes about 90...More

The main roads around the caverns are pretty wide, but when you get closer to the caverns the roads are narrower and I remember a few turns that I'm not sure a large camper would be able to handle easily.
