We passed through this town during our trip in Queretaro. Quaint and small town with a host of beautiful artisan goods. The monolith is one of the world's tallest and you can hike up to a certain point. Keep in mind the heat of the day though for hiking (morning would be best) and the town closes down at 6pm,... The town is very beautiful. Its architecture has been preserved and you can evem go to tours that tells... More

Really cool climb on a beautiful piece of nature. The centre is cosy and fun to go shopping or just walk around.

This is a quaint town several hours away from Mexico City. I went during the week, and it was a great trip, not crowded. Small businesses all around, cool shopping, touristy. The monolith is viewable from all around, but do go close to it to get some better pics! Interesting place to visit. There are some shops where you can... More

We would have never gone here had it not been for our local friends in San Miguel. They drove us here to Bernal to experience a local Mexican town complete with an incredible view of the rock formation that looms over the town. A visit here will get you away from the Gringos and expose you to the local experience... More

La Pena de Bernal is a rock formation, one of the tallest on earth ... the nearby town is a tourist mecca ... quaint shops and cafe's around a lovely manicured plaza ...
