What a world wonder.. absolutely amazing to visit and really a must do. Only shame is that tourists are ruining the place. These trees are fragile and when you see people climbing on them it just breaks your heart. Go there soon, who knows how...More

Sossusvlei is an iconic area of Namibia not to be missed. A nice paved road brings you in the Park where countless red sand dunes can be seen and escalated. Was very windy when we were there therefore the sand gets blown around. The end...More

Really great place to visit - real desert and you feel like real Africa. Put it on your list. January is hot (110F 40C) but very dry.

make sure to bring plenty of water, a hat and some runners (seen a few people attempt it in flip flops and bare feet!)

This is one of the most incredible paces I have ever been in my life. There are regular shuttles to take you there from the car park but if you have a 4x4 and know what you are doing you can drive there yourself.

The place is as you see in photos, desolate, dramatic and very orange. The landscape is so different than anything you might have seen. It's sand dune after sand dune. And Dead Vlei is amazing too. We also saw some wild life which was unexpected.

I agree about Swakopmund. It's a must. The roads from Swakop to Sossos is at the moment very bad, but to get there, you have to travel on the dirt, so be very careful. Book ahead of time otherwise you will be in trouble... More
