A little off the beaten path ... Simply gorgeous views of the vines and the lake. Having visited the finger lakes countless times and stopped at many wineries, we decided it was high time to visit one of the originals. Free tastings, which is almost unheard of in this area .... Well structured pouring and tasting experience. The server was... More

Looking for a weekend getaway? Do some Ny Winetasting. There are many great wineries but this may be the granddaddy of them all. We were there on a dreary wintery day and this place lifted the spirits. Knowledgeable, experienced staff who led us through a great tasting experience! Lovely tasting room overlooking the lake with mountains in the background. It's... More

My friends and I arrived on a busy day and were treated to an exceptional wine tasting courtesy of George. His vast knowledge of the history of the winery, deep knowledge of wine and engaging and lively personality made this a joyous experience. I / We'll be back!!

This was one of our first wineries during our recent trip, and it was a great little spot. Although a bit crowded, the staff was very pleasant and there was no rush to move you along or purchase anything. It has one of the best views of the lake as well. The Cab Franc was one of the best reds... More

This was our third visit to Dr. Franks. After visiting and being very pleased in both fall 2014 and spring 2015, my wife and another couple visited again on 11/12. Strange experience .. Aside from the 4 of us, there were only 2 other customers in the place. When we went into the tasting room, the reception was cold. The... More

Glad to hear of your two outstanding experiences within the past year at Dr. Frank's, though we are sorry to hear about your less than satisfactory recent experience. It's interesting that you mention a lack of quality, because two Chateau Frank methode champenoise sparkling wines (traditional, expensive method) are currently on the list. One of the wines offered is $30.... More

We spent some time here trying out wine. This was a good choice as Dr Franks has some mighty fine wines. Our server was pleasant and knowledgeable. A good visit.

The tasting room always seems to be packed with people. The staff is very welcoming and the servers are knowledgeable and thorough in their presentation. I particularly enjoy their semi-dry Riesling which is outstanding.

Dr. Frank's great granddaughter served us during our visit. They charge nothing for their tastings. They offer a dry and sweet flight menu. You can stick with one or the other or "mix & match." We loved the dry and semi dry Rieslings and their Célèbre! Nice gift shop and very knowledgeable and friendly staff. Gorgeous views from inside and... More

If you're touring the Finger Lakes and only have time for one winery, this is the one! The location is beautiful, but the wine selection is truly a gift for your inner wine spirit. Their tasting room and staff is superb. They have some of the finest wines available anywhere, and many awards to prove it!
