This is a beautiful, historical cathedral. The village of Garden City was built by Alexander Stewart The village was built around the cathedral, a hotel, 2 cathedral schools (now both closed), 12 large apostle houses and a number of smaller disciple houses He built the railroad line to go from his home in New York City to his new village. After he died, his wife Cornelia finished his plan in his memory.

I have been a regular at the Memorial Day Fair and concert for many years. The Cathedral is a delightful gem of architecture and the clergy provide a fascinating tour. Concerts held at the Cathedral are always wonderful.

Walked into the Cathedral of the Incarnation in Garden City NY on a Sunday. It’s a very beautiful church. Looks a lot bigger from the outside. There was a practice for an upcoming classical music concert, which was a treat to listen to. Defiantly worth a stop in, if you’re in the area.

It is a beautiful building and the music is of excellent quality. Is the bishop, however, too eager to "sell off" churches in order to . . . . He should be in real estate. Actually, he is!

The Cathedral of the Incarnation is a beautiful historic church in Garden City. We attended service here and were impressed with the architecture, statues and stained glass.

This is a beautiful church. The architecture inside and out is definitely worth checking out. You don't need to be religious to appreciate it.

This church is propbably much older than any of us and it stands prominently in Garden City. Come and check out the magnificent stained glass windows to all the ornate intricate architecture proudly displayed. During the year there's plenty of opportunities to take in a concert performance and I truly suggest you take avail to that! Plenty of parking and it's not even too far from the LIRR(Long Island Railroad) if you are traveling in from the city. Also walking distance if you are staying at the Garden City Hotel. A must see for anyone visiting Garden City or living here:-)haha

I recently attended a tour of the Cathedral of the Incarnation. As a Garden City resident I was aware of the connection to department store leader, A.T. Stewart. The tour reinforced this and then more. The interior and exterior of the church are exquisite. Check out those amazing stained glass windows. Learn the story of Stewart's gravesite. The grounds are delightful to walk around It makes one feel they're in the country somewhere. If you're around whenever the Cathedral does a concert, do plan on attending. The organ is one of the best I've heard.

The Cathedral of the Incarnation, part of the Episcopalian Diocese, has been here for over 100 years, and its story, told by a docent who leads a fascinating tour, is intertwined with the growth of Long Island and the Garden City area in particular. There is beautiful architecture and stained glass windows, and a note-worthy organ. The majority of the building can be seen on one level with just a few stairs, but there is a basement and that is accessible only by a stairway.
