My sister and I grew up in this small college town in Western New York, so when we returned there with our husbands on our way to a family reunion, we decided to stop overnight so we could look around and see how things had changed. I was able to get a private tour set up at the Fredonia Opera... More

I absolutely love have something like the 1891 Fredonia Opera House nearby. I have been countless times for live concerts, live screenings of top notch theater productions, movie showings, and showings of operas and plays. I look forward to checking their schedule every few months, and the entertainment is always reasonably priced. The showings of plays and operas on the... More

The variety of the shows offered is wonderful. I won't go to any other movie theatre, the setting is very comfortable, the seats are generous in size and not crowded together, lots of leg room. And the bonus is the wonderful film they offer. Check them out for yourself! Also operas, stage plays and musical groupsare offered.

We were there for the Bach and Beyond music fest for three days. Every seat is great. It's beautifully restored. The acoustics are perfect for classical music. We were even treated to a quick private pre-concert tour by Rick Davis, the venue's executive director, who gave us an excellent of the history of the building and shared with us the... More

One of the best kept secrets in WNY. The 1891 opera House has been restored to its beautiful original purpose and features plays, shows, concerts, movies, meetings, tours and more. It is efficiently managed by the staff and is always friendly and welcoming to visitors of all ages.

Our family has attended many shows at the Opera House, Including Peter Yarrow (formerly of Peter, Paul and Mary). It is a beautifully restored facility with excellent care to both the setting and the quality of shows it brings.

Love to go here for movie night. Best view from front row balcony. The movies are tasteful and the staff is very friendly. Live shows are also a delight and I have gone to a couple of weddings there as well. A plus for the community.
