this is a relatively small zoo with nice attractions for people who do not want to go to the bronx zoo. parking is very bad, but its free. all in all a fun day for the little ones in queens.

Enjoyable day, free entry to veterans, small, low key, well kept, pleasant staff and not busy so we managed to see all the animals without a rush or crowd. More recommended for younger children though
