We were on the first trolley tour of the day. Our tour driver and guides name was Mark! He gave an excellent tour of the towns history and notable people. From Olivia's (Twains wife)well to do family, to the members of the Underground Railroad, to...More

It's simple: a larger Exhibit for John W Jones is needed. There is entire corner dedicated to Mark Twain. Clearly he is a local hero. John W Jones should have been given equal recognition. He buried about 2973 soldiers who fought in the Civil War...More

We took part in the wonderful Twain Trolley tour then checked out the museum. Very well put together. We learned a lot! It is a small kid friendly and interactive museum. If you are in the area...check it out and do the Twain Trolley Tour!

A great little museum with some really interesting exhibits on show. Elmira has more history that you would think and really should promote this more. Mark Twain, the Langdon family and one of the deadliest Civil War POW camps. You could easily fill a couple...More

The museum is housed in a old bank building; which in itself is very interesting. The old vault and infrastructure is pretty much all intact. For the architecture alone its worth seeing. But the museum charges a small fee ($5 for seniors...) and is very...More
