I went to Peconic Bay 9/21/13 and was impressed. The winery was open and so I'm not sure why it was not open to the general public as mentioned in two of the posts. This vineyard is cute and quaint. The tasting area is in the backyard which has an outdoor bar and additional outside seating. They have a set... More

Like the reviewer below, very shocked to find one of the best North Fork wineries all shut up. It was always a stop on our trips there. Do the owners really think that people going to the North Fork to taste wine at wineries are going to stop at Tanger Outlet Mall in Riverhead for a taste of Peconic Bay,... More

We went there today, 8/10/13, only to find the vineyard closed to the public. After researching, i found the answer. We having been going to Peconic for years, both seasonal and off season. This is a perfect place to relax and enjoy the latest vintage on Long Island's wine trail. The scene is especially comfortable, with classy, comfortable seating, friendly table service, and delicious wines. The dry Riesling and barrel fermented Chardonnay are my favorites.

We stopped at the Peconic Bay winery as part of a full day winery tour we booked through Oheka Castle for our 20th anniversary. The limo company chose all the wineries since we were not from the area and had no idea who was who. Peconic Bay was simply the best of the bunch. Our host was helpful, funny, and... More

I always send people here. The staff is always the best, wines are great and they offer comfortable outdoor seating, with some around fire pits, to listen to music.
