Some friends and I did a tasting at Bedell Cellars in Cutchogue. We were greeted by a knowledgeable and personable sommelier. She graciously escorted us upstairs to a lovely sitting area with a welcoming gas fireplace. She brought up several types of wines for my friends and a hug of water for me, the non drinker. It was a great... More

The spacious tasting room, brimming with bottles of wine and works of contemoorary art, is staffed by a highly-knowledgeable and friendly staff. The winemaker, Richard Olsen Harbich, makes a range of elegant, quality wines using only wild yeasts for his fermentations. The wines reflect their terroir all the more intensely as a result and the top wines, if pricey, are... More

Bedell was definitely smaller than expected. We went in December so outdoor seating wasn't an option. The decor inside is very nice. More modern than the other wineries in the area but it looked like it could only hold about three groups over six with about 5 bar type tables and then a small bar. I would say 20 people... More

We stopped in on a Sunday evening and were warmly welcome by Bedell's friendly staff. The winery is beautiful and feels homey. Our server was extremely knowledgeable about their wine and the area, as well as entertaining, personable and generous. We absolutely lovvvved their wines- so much that we joined their wine club! Cannot wait to make it back there... More

We had heard Bedell was a good winery and were in the area on a Sunday with a large party of 9 (which we know can be difficult to accomodate at wineries!). We decided to stop by and were directed by a parking attendant due to a very full parking lot. The man who greeted us inside explained there was... More

This was the most elegant and enjoyable of the vineyards we visited on the North Fork. It has a beautiful building, overlooking the vines, and also the interior distilling equipment, including corking and labeling machines, all on site. We got a tour, the only one offered at the vineyards we visited in the area, and there was table service on... More

By far, Bedell Cellars offered the best wines in their standard flight compared to all of the wineries we visited on the North Fork. Each one was delicious. There was ample seating/standing outside on the patio with limited seating inside. The patio offered a spectacular view. The story behind their wine labels was very interesting. The pourers who served us... More

Stopped here after reading all the reviews but wasn't really sure if the place would meet our expectations. We're typically not New York State wine fans. But I'm so happy we did. LOVE this place and LOVE their wines. The whites are some of the most delicious We've ever had and we prefer red. Even joined their wine club. The... More

Awesome reds here! Even served to president Obama!! Great service behind the tasting table and every red was AMAZING!! The only red that came close was the 2010 Merlot from Sherwood Winery. The only place I bought a bottle, the wines and the service head and shoulders above many other wineries in the area, don't miss out on this winery... More
