It's always interesting to see history in a more natural state, as opposed to the fully reconstructed reinterpretations. That's what this site offers, a picture of fortifications left as they were found. It's fascinating to to climb and walk around the ruins and take in...More

Decided to visit this site while camping at crown point state park campground across the street from the site. The short video is informative and the grounds well maintained.

Very interesting series of ruins of the two forts. The museum is small but very well done and the movie givens a great overview of the locale and its importance.

We were limited by our inability to walk but the survey we took was very pleasing. If the museum is open it's a must. There are signs along the way.

You can see both the remains of the French and British Forts that defended Lake Champlain from various forces over the years. Right at the foot of the Lake Champlain Bridge presents an interesting comparison of old and new.
