Like Hyde Hall, this Farmers' Museum is informative, interesting, well looked-after, but not exactly opulent: it documents rural life in the 19th century in a way that is fairly honest and relatively free of falsifying prettying-up of history. It's not Disney, but it's still fascinating...More

Reasonably priced. Kids had a blast. Very good learning experience for the whole family. If you go later in the day the tickets are half price.

Step back in time and consider how much life has changed. The Farmer’s Museum essentially recreates a working village from around the mid 19th century. There are period buildings and livestock with which you can get up close and personal. There is also a handcrafted...More

This past weekend I went the Farmers museum after not being there for 35+ years. There were virtually no interpreters in or around any of the buildings. The Apothecary, Cooper and Broom maker were the exceptions, all 3 were great. It was also Hops weekend....More

The Farmers Museum is a collection of buildings from NY state, appropriately displaying a view into life in the early 19th century. There's a forge, church, general store (that doubles as a gift shop), a kitchen garden, graveyard, petting barn with goats, rabbits, cows, chickens,...More

The grounds are basically smooth dirt with small gravel. Completely walkable. The museum doesn't cover a whole lot of area so there are no means of transportation provided. There are places where you can sit and rest.
