I was finally home for a visit while they were still open. The exterior of the castle and grounds are gorgeous, but the rest was a let down. The tour was extremely rushed and most everyone in my group didn't get to ask questions or...More

Singer Castle is very beautiful. It has been kept to the time period (early 1900's). The entrance is grand with beautiful limestone. The fireplaces are marble and have amazing color (green and pink). There are many secret passageways, which you cannot explore on this tour,...More

We bought a combination pass from Uncle Sam's, which included a trip to Singer Castle. I highly recommend visiting this castle. The tour is guided by a knowledgeable young person and is very interesting.

Tpited thru the Singer castle. Enjoyed the wood furniture and marble within. Loved the secret passageways and large room for the female help. Beautiful area between the U.S. and Canada in the St Lawrence River.

Love that this is a guided tour. It was a big issue for older people who can't get around easily. Right off the boat is uphill and quite steep. Older folks were dropping out of the tour as it is either uphill or up steps...More

Singer Castle on Dark Island has a beautiful landscaping, an authentic history, lovely furnishings, secret passageways and well trained guides, who explain everything from the moment one gets off the cruise boat until one re-boards. Further away from Alexandria Bay, it is sometimes overlooked in...More
