No system in woodbury.

I usualy go lots of designer outlets around the world. I was in Woodbury on 24.11.2023. It took 3 hours to reach from ny city, and only 3 shops I could visit since it was very crowded. Than go back to NY city again into 3,5 hours.
Ok it was black friday but for example last black friday (2022) I was in Parndorf Designer Outlet in Austria it was also very crowded normaly but there was a good system, all day I was able to shop easily. Lots of security staff was managing the traffic, parking the cars, getting into the shops etc.
In woodbury nobody was helping people about what to do, where to park. Because of traffic there was no taxi, uber etc. We lost one day of our holiday’s for nothing.

The “death” of OUTLETS.

Outlets are not what they used to be in the past. These are regular stores and they sell new arrivals. There is small part of the collection that goes on discount. Nothing special for Europeans apart from the “ Niagara” part, where one can find many local US brands not to be found in Europe. Same outlets you can find in many places in Europe. If you like shopping, you’d better go to Soho and just ramble around the streets, where you can find enough expensive but quite authentic stores. There is also a TK Max or a similar at fifth Avenue. If you go on the weekend, then you will probably get big sales, but as soon as you go on Monday or Tuesday, most sales will be over and just a portion of their stock would be on sale. In the past at such locations, all stores would have everything on sale the whole year around and they would be full with past collection’ items. One would not be able to buy a new collection items.
And this is over now.
It is like a big shopping mall. You can shop until you drop.

We were in the area & I just HAD TO check out this mega shopping mecca. I browsed ALL the high-end stores. I didn't snag any bargains, but I did treat myself to a Gucci handbag!!!

No deals there! Save 40$ and buy in Manhattan TJmaxx/Marshalls

Disappointingly expensive... In EU you will find better deals and you get vat free while going outside of EU. Only good price was in the under Armor shop. Rest same as EU. I would spend 40$/person for nice things in TJ Maxx or Marshall's in Manhattan rather to come here and waste 3h for round trip by bus.

This outlet center is huge. Mostly high-end shops. You could spend hours/days shopping there. Very well maintained. We were just passing through on this occasion. Will have to return when there is more time to shop! Definitely worth a visit.

Well, the first thing which comes to mind - it's Huge. This shopping location was built for shopaholics who desire premium goods at bargain prices. In short, Woodbury Common has it all. Woodbury Common has established its reputation as one of the most popular, and largest, shopping outlets in the nation.

it is located in Central Valley, NY, just an hour North of New York City. It is a popular day trip from New York, and as a result, many vehicles operate between New York City and the outlets.

shopping location was opened in 1985 and has slowly grown over the years since. It now welcomes more than 13 million visitors a year, and it continues to grow as its current structure is renovated and new stores are added to the already extensive selection of shops.


The giant contiguous outlet store now has 220 outlets and unlike neighboring outlets, it has high-end brands as well like Gucci, Lacoste, Dior, Versace, Prada, Valentino, Balenciaga, etc...


The layout of the outlet shops is quite nice and cleverly done. The shops are grouped in Stepford neighborhood groupings such as Niagara, Saratoga, and Hudson Valley.

so, plan your shopping properly as you can't cover the whole outlet in a single day for sure!

Restaurants and eateries are prevalent in Woodbury Common, as well. If you’re looking for something quick, you can check out Shake Shack, South Philly Cheesesteaks & Fries, or Au Bon Pain, among others. For a sit-down meal, it does have an Applebees! Also, there are many bistros, food trucks, and a large “Market Hall” with dozens of food stores.


Parking: the first time I was seeing Valet parking in any outlet mall, we were there on the 3rd of July and the parking was almost full, of course, we were not going to Pay $10 that too in the outlet area, we searched on google and seems, the outlet has 4-floor parking garage behind Old Navy store, ample of parking.
We parked at level 2 and started our shopping from old navy.

I just love the variety of luxury outlet store’s available here!! Great deals!!

The staff at most stores are amazing although Gucci could do with more sales people. Burberry didn’t have friendly salespeople… Coach, MK, Nike, Kate Spade, Mulberry, Tori Burch… top notch salespeople!

I also love how easy it is to get there. I caught a bus from coachusa stop at station.

Dedicate a day here and be prepared to SPEND!!!
