Very relaxing, tranquil, and a nice spot to unwind and release. Gaze at the waters and the structures by the Long Island Sound. See the bridges. Frequent the restaurants and shoppes, come here to be free. See the birds...

Because we LOVE to 'get away' and come here. We just love to park (but beware there are many no-park zones!) and walk these unique streets. At the end of every side street there's a private beach. Almost like a trip to New England. Picturesque and very walkable.. Large choice of many excellent eateries for a meal or a snack. A relaxing day.

Many places to eat. I prefer The Lobster House. Plenty of scenic restaurants. It was plenty of budget places as well as ones with plenty of ambience.

The biggest gripe I have with city Island is there's only one way in and one way out and during the rush of hungry pedestrians, the traffic does pileup rather quickly. Once through the traffic, there is such a great variety of seafood restaurants. I've tried so many and haven't had a bad experience yet. My favorite will probably be... More

City Island is THE place to visit if you're a seafood lover. This whole little island has an myriad of seafood restaurants to try out. When visiting you have to at least eat at one of Sammy's restaurants, I personally recommend Sammy's Shrimp Box (some people prefer Fish Box, to each it's own...). Also a real go-to place is Johnny's... More

Great seafood up and down the Island. Some places better than others. In the summertime especially on a nice night traffic is sometimes a headache.
