Calitzdorp winery is well known for their Hanepoot. Be sure to taste some of their other great wines as well (Jeripigo, Muscadel, Cape Ruby and red wines)

Cape Ruby my favorite. Priced so well you have to buy a few bottles. Interesting , yet limited range of wines , and during the recent Calitzdorp festival , not too crowded.

Great selection of wines. The Bistro is open only certain days of the week, but the view is just incredible.

Nicely air-conditioned venue. Friendly tasting room staff. Chardonnay & Pinotage are great value for money dry wines. The fortified wines out of this world, fantastic!
