This is the one for all whiskey lovers. Apparently, this is the biggest whiskey collection in the southern hemisphere. True or not, they have more whiskeys than you can ever taste. A bit on the expensive side, but you will be able to sample whiskey and gin for that matter till you can't take anymore. A must for all that love whiskey.

What a wonderful experience. We had two people tasting tequila, one gin and one whisky. We all had a fantastic time. It was informative and delicious. Snack platter was also good.

As a Scotsman visiting Dullstroom, Wild about Whiskey was not to be missed.

I was immediately taken aback not just by the number of whiskys ( note the spelling no "e") but so many Scottish varieties that I had never heard of.

I opted for the "Across the Whiskyverse" tasting with samples from Scotland, USA, Ireland, Israel and India and was not disappointed in my choice, each with their own distinctive tones and flavours from spicy to fruity to mellow and creamy.

I enjoyed each and every one of the whiskys but my favourite was not as I might have expected, the Glenlivet 12 year old, but a mildly peaty Paul John Bold from India which would rival many an Islay malt.

The highlight of the visit however was not the whiskys themselves but our host and whisky expert Pascal who took time to explain not just the origins of the drink but answers to individual whisky questions, entirely unrelated to the tasting itself. He was a star.

Shocking - arrived 30 mins before closing and were kicked out before we could finish our drinks! There are far more accommodating pubs in the 2 horse town!

A group of friends did a whisky tasting here after lunch. Around half of us went for the 6 half tot tasting option and the other half went for a chocolate and whisky tasting. Neither group were disappointed! My lovely wife chose the chocolate option whereas I went with the "meet peat" tasting option. We had Sean take us through the tasting mechanics and an overview of the world of whisky. He was amazing and we wished we had more time to hear even more. There is an onsite shop which I visited after we placed our order to top up on my stock. The tasting revealed a new favourite and the shop had another visit from me before we left. You need around 90 minutes to really appreciate Wild about Whisky. You will not be disappointed to stop here!

We did the whiskey tasting this afternoon and are already planning our next visit there. Dave was our whiskey expert and he was absolutely sublime! We were so engrossed in everything he was teaching us we left feeling like whiskey connoisseurs. He was a fountain of whiskey knowledge. Thank you Dave for the best tasting experience we've had, we couldn't have asked for better! The list of tasting options is extensive and the shop is more than well stocked, prices were very competitive. The setting is lovely with gardens, views and a water feature.
