This museum is wonderful and has a large gift shop for everything dinosaur. Great exhibits on Earth life history, what is a fossil, New Mexico dinosaurs and dinosaurs in general. You also get to look through windows into the huge Paleontology lab which had lots of dinosaur bones laying out on the prep tables. This museum is a true hidden... More

Kids will love the gift shop! We would have gladly spent more time here if the displays had more to offer. They were a mixture of paintings and locally made bronze replicas (made with great talent and skill). While the overall count of items would be impressive, many were replicas or casts and not originals. A considerable portion of the... More

This was not your typical museum. Its pretty small but very informative. Lots of dinosaurs you can touch. Gift shop had a lot of cool things for sale too.

Stop to have lunch in Tucumcari and saw an advertisement for this museum. How much can a small dinosaur museum teach you in New Mexico? A lot. They have many displays of everything relating to dinosaurs....complete skeltons, heads, footprints, nature scenes showing how dinosaurs lived..and a huge thigh bone you can stand next to.They have easy explanations describing all the exhibits. I learned... More

Was a great stop, the kids loved stopping and seeing all the fossils. I purchased a trilobite. It's very cool.

Great exhibits. Some are hands on. Fairly large kids area. Really get an idea of how big some of the dinosaurs were. Also interesting to see artifacts that were found locally by community college classes.

Given the size of tucumcari you would not expect there to be a museum of any level of quality, but it does. This is not a huge museum, but did seem pretty thorough and will likely be good for kids and adults. We spent about an hour there. I think admission was 6 dollars.
