This is the second time I have taken a llama trek with Stuart. The first time was 12 years ago. Both adventures were out of this world amazing. Beautiful scenery, wonderful llamas, a very knowledgeable guide and fresh, great tasting food. You can't beat that. This is an adventure I would definitely rec.

Today my family went on our third trek with Stuart into the Rio Grande Gorge in the brand new national monument. We saw, petroglyphs, geologic wonders, a wild river, and our intrepid llamas, K2, Rio and Diego. Llama trekking offers the opportunity to be free of a daypack and just breathe in the wonders of nature. Stuart knows his landscapes,... More

What an awesome day. We could not have asked for more. Stuart is an INCREDIBLE guide. My husband and our 3 daughters had looked so forward to our "Take a Llama to Lunch" hike and yet, it exceeded all of our expectations. First, the scenery is breathtaking, it is a hidden gem that you feel as if only you and... More

Wow, wow, wow. This was incredible fun. Stuart is an AMAZING guide. He was patient, funny, and talked about geology, history, plant like, animals, llamas, petroglyphs, native people's, art, and so much more. I did the "take a llama to lunch" trek and was with a family who had 3 girls (ages15, 12, 10). They said it beat the Grand... More

I am now officially a Llama fan. What beautiful, gentle creatures they are. Hats off to Stuart for starting his Llama Rescue. Thank you for sharing them with us, we truly loved our Llama Adventure. There are of course many wonderful ways to spend a day in Taos. Having visited the art galleries, museums, plaza, we were looking for something... More

This was by far one of the most fun excursions I've been on. My friends and I had a wonderful time. Stuart did a great job of interacting with all of the hikers, and showed a great deal of love for his animals. He was extremely knowledgable about the local flora and fauna, had a great sense of humor, and... More

---hiking with unbelievable views with clear blue skies, aspen leaves shimmering, and turning bright gold in early October in the Carson National Forest while catching our breath at over 10,000 feet--how exhilarating! Gentle llamas, a guide (Stuart) who filled us with so much great information (and our stomachs with gourmet meals), plus evenings with his special stargazing education by a... More

I received the llama trek as a birthday gift from my wife and didn't quite know what to expect. The trip exceeded my expectations spending a delightful day with KT and Apollo (our Llamas) and Stuart our guide who is a wealth of information about the area and its geology, wildlife and ecology. I would highly recommend it as an... More

Llama treking in the Carson National Forest proved to be the highlight of our seven day trip to New Mexico. Stuart's hospitality, and obvious dedication to this wilderness area, to the wonderful "rescued" llamas, and to educating participants, made our day really memorable. There were no packs to carry--the llamas did it all--and the food was delicious.
