I spent about 1 1/2 hours browsing and admiring the house ( which is a piece of art) as well as the work of local artists. The studio had several interactive stations for people of all ages. There is a food forest with events free...More

The Museum is housed in the home that Nicolai Fechin built and lived in. He is known as one of the most important portrait painters of the 20th Century but was also an amazing wood carver as is evidenced in the home in just about...More

The house, his paintings and his studio reveal an astonishing view into an era as well as an exceptional artist. He built much of the furniture and hand carved decor throughout.(influenced greatly by his native Russia. One could sense his love for his father and...More

Just a beautiful setting for exhibition of western artwork. The house shows influences from Spain and Russia as well as the Southwest. Besides the house and its two stories of exhibits, there is a garden and a studio in a separate building. Take the time...More

Artwork and architecture outstanding. Incredible! Although Fechin designed the house and some of his artwork is displayed, there are other SW artists on view, especially the work of John Duntin(?). The house, as described, is an incredible mix of SW and Russian style and is...More

Not all of the art was our style, but the building itself is incredible. The hand carved woodwork in the building is beyond compare. It was well worth the visit and the exhibit of Western Art really appealed to us.

I found the museum by just walking on the right street. It is a house which is beautiful in itself with western pieces and artist paintings. Don't miss the 2nd floor room or glass room.

The home itself is charming, the woodwork and original fittings/furniture amazing. Really enjoyed wandering with only a few other visitors. Garden and grounds to also enjoy and a lovely gift shop with a tasteful selection of moderately priced items.
