This was the second time to the museum. This time with another couple who were interested in the history of the area (1804). Well done with lots of historical items and goos explanations. We spent about 2 hours and our friends thanks us for taking...More

Nearly missed this place, not well signposted but glad we persevered. Definitely a hidden gem. We spent quite sometime going through and reading the history - fascinating. Definitely a must see in Taos.

This is one of those very old, must see attractions in Taos. A lot of history transpired within the thick adobe walls.

Huge old hacienda built in 1804. 21 rooms and 2 large courtyards. Many interesting artifacts are displayed, and the guide for the self-guided tour is helpful in understanding the place.

This is a self guided tour. We really enjoyed seeing "life" from the past. Easy to walk, but not wheel chair accessible. It does not take you long to do this, highly recommend as a Taos activity.

I've been to Taos several times, but never to Hacienda Martinez - going here created a new awe of, respect for, and thirst to know more of New Mexico history. Quite amazing.

Not well publicized but an interesting way to see how early Taos settlers lived. I went twice in 2 weeks. You can only go into so many art galleries.

A visit to the Hacienda provides an opportunity to look back on the era of the Santa Fe Trail and time period previous to New Mexico becoming a state. It provides a wonderful historical perspective on an important time period of US history.
