The Kit Carson Park is not just a great park for the locals but for history lovers the outstanding feature is the Kit Carson Memorial State Park just behind the baseball field. It's a cemetery which houses the grave of early Taos residents including Kit...More

We accidentally drove this way on our way to Taos and it's absolutely gorgeous. There were sheer cliffs, warnings of falling rocks, etc. I almost hit a deer but because I was going slow we both lived to share it with our respective herds. We...More

While there isn't anything about Kit Carson Park that I'd call extraordinary, it didn't really have any bad features either. It's definitely conveniently located, though after a big snow storm it doesn't really offer much more than playing in the snow, not that that is...More

After a day of walking the town shopping, dining, visiting museums, the Kit Carson Park is a nice place to walk to and relax. Sit, listen to the birds, people watch, relax. We take a stroll in the park whenever we are in Taos.

I attended the Taos Wool and Fiber Festival in Kit Carson Park. There was plenty of room and the parking was nearby.

A park with the remains of many of Taos's founders and historical figures. Resting within the park are "Kit Carson" and his descendants.

Fun little park, history on all sides (take a walk through the cemetery at the back), great place to stretch your legs, people watch, throw a ball. Don't go at night

No. They will sell beverages there and won't allow you to bring your own to guarantee that you will pay crazy prices for water even. The lawn chair will be handy unless they over pack the event.
