Many of our acquaintances have gone there to get certified for scuba diving. It was in the 80's that morning and many people had camped there and were scuba diving. Families were picnicking at the site. The water was deep blue, crystal clear and 60 degrees F. Many people were diving off the rocks on the side or swimming off... More

I suppose if you are a diver this is a very different attraction. If you are simply stopping for a view, there's not much to see although the color of the water is a nice blue. There are bathrooms by the water hole although they don't have hand soap and they are very minimalistic. If you're driving by and need... More

The Blue Hole appeals to my sense of curious in all things related to gas laws and human physiology. I'm not even a diver. Not much else to say about it. Cold, deep water. Several places one is able to dive off. Can't say I'd go see it again, but I can say to my friends that know this place... More

Read the reviews, saw amazing pictures, then saw the real thing. What a disappointment! We were not scuba diving, just stopped to see. It could be the most wonderful place for that. Thank goodness there was no admission fee to see it!

The Blue Hole was magnificent! The water was exhilaratingly cold and clear. After only a couple minutes in the water, the temperature was unnoticeable. And wonderful place to take the Advanced class. Great facilities. Great scenery.

At a cool 61 F this is a nice place to visit in the heat. Our son jumped in and said it was pretty cold. Worth the stop, jump in or dip your feet.

We stopped at the Blue Hole on a recent jaunt to Santa Rosa, but found gaining access rather tricky. The sign pointed to an entrance that was gated and locked, so we called the number on the website to ask for help. No one answered or ever called us back. Finally, we figured out that we could park at the... More

This is a nice quick stop off of the highway. Brief drive through a local neighborhood and follow the signs to the Blue Hole. There was a Search and Rescue team dredging on the day we visited. There wasn't any police tape and no signs of crisis so I imagine it was a routine drill? The hole itself was pretty... More

So in the middle of the desert there is this really cool small lake. The water is crystal clear and comes pouring out of the ground. The main body is 87 feet deep but the caverns below go to over 300 feet. It's 61 degrees summer and winter. It's a favorite spot for scuba divers to get certified in, and... More
