If you love to fish and want a family outing, this is the place to be in Ruisdoso. Great walking trail, scenery is beautiful, it's a well kept up lake. Go have some fun with the family, enjoy God's creation, and relax. All worth it!!

This place is a short drive from downtown Ruidoso. Our goal was to enjoy a scenic hike. We were delighted with the turquoise water of the lake. Our hike took us half way around. We saw people enjoying the water by fishing and kayaking,

So we took a drive out to explore and found this little treasure nestled in the mountains. We didn't fish but we just stood there, breathed in the mountain air and enjoyed the short visit. We will be back for a fishing trip soon.

Not a far drive from town, and its kinda tucked away off the path. Good little fishing spot if you just want to go for the day. Not much shade, so bring your sun screen or a shade and something to sit on.
