The library was informative. The gift shop was a little overcrowded. The museum was well done. This is a hunters paradise.

We finally made it to the NRA Whittingdon Center. The Frank Brownell Museum/ Gift Shop were our initial stops. The library and cartridge collection were an unexpected treat. The book selection seems sparse as numerous titles were missing - but overall a fine representative collection. Could also use more audio-visual donations. The variety of ranges was very complete and at... More

Our first stop was the museum. The foyer area had mounts of a variety of different animals. The museum exhibits were arranged well for viewing and had easy to read information to explain each item. While not a huge museum, it is presented as well as any we have visited. We also visited the library area which is available to... More

I went alone and enjoyed the museum and gift shop but I know if my hubby and father had gone, they would have really loved it. I had 2 small service dogs with me and absolutely no issues with them being accepted arose.

A very well maintained facility, have been there many times and have always been pleased with it. The shop is awesome and the funds that are offered for sale are priced fairly.

There's not much to do in Raton as it is. So I found this place on trip advisor and decided to give it a try to entertain myself for the day. My first time shooting and I enjoyed it, the instructor was nice. There is a cool little gun museum inside the store is nothing grand but worth to take... More

I have been coming here each summer for almost 20 years for shooting competitions. I have stayed in the cabins and competitor housing which are basic but prefer the RV campground which is nicely spaced with great views. There are excellent shooting facilities, and if you are not shooting there are some hiking trails. Be sure to spend some time... More

Great facility, lots of wildlife. Ghost town up the canyon worth seeing, as is the firearm museum. Unique shop. Lodging, developed and primitive campgrounds. My family enjoys visiting. Don't have to be a shooting enthusiast to have a good time, but it helps.
