Description:

The Giggling Springs Hot Springs is located at the site of the earliest...

The Giggling Springs Hot Springs is located at the site of the earliest Bath House in the Jemez Springs area, and before that, the mineral water was used by the Native Americans of the area. Our water comes from deep beneath the Valles Caldera (ancient volcano) up the mountain. It is ancient sea water abundant with a relaxing and therapeutic blend of minerals such as calcium, magnesium, potassium, iron, silica, sodium and more. The source is 142 degrees F, but the pool is kept at a comfortable 102-104 degrees. The water is natural, and no chlorine or chemicals are added. We use ultraviolet light, ionizers and an oxygen inversions system to disinfect the water, and it is a flow-through pool, so the water changes out regularly. Swim suits are required, children 14 and over are welcome, and for the comfort of our guests, the number of people allowed in at one time is limited--so reservations are recommended.

We experienced the Springs as a therapeutic respite. The staff was lovely and informative and the place is clean. A wonderfully rustic area in the mountains. Don't miss it.

Our family stopped in late afternoon after visiting Bandelier National Monument. I had researched on TA and decided this was the best one to suit us. We almost drove past it, you have to be looking as the sign isn't very big. There are several log cabins and the office is in one. Tanya was very welcoming and helpful. We... More

We always hope we are a highlight on our guests' vacations! We have ordered a new sign and hope it is big enough and placed in a way that you will see it easier soon! We are also working on packages our guests can buy if they don't bring towels or robes or drinks. We pretty much allow our guests... More

The road out of Albuquerque, through Jemez Springs, to Las Alamos had scenery that was spectacularly varied and beautiful - from red rocks that rivaled Sedona to tan sand vistas to pinon pine forests. Right at the midpoint of the trip was the Giggling Springs outdoor mineral hot spring resort. It was love at first sight when I saw it... More

Such an AMAZING place! I have been in Albuquerque for a work contract for about 2 months, and came out here for the first time while my boyfriend visited. It was a highlight of his visit, and probably my favorite part of the whole week! Driving up, scenery is beautiful. Jim (and I forgot the woman's name) warmly greeted us... More

we were here in late October, and it was wonderful. The trees were all in their Fall splendor, and we were lucky enough to have the place to ourselves. Several pools to choose from, and nicely landscaped grounds and seating areas.

This activity was one of the highlights of our trip. Arrived from Albuquerque shortly after 11 AM and we were quite alone with our beautiful, sunny but slightly cool day and four pools all to ourselves. Well, for 20 minutes anyway! We didn't do the cooler pool but did the other three. What a nice, relaxing soak. It is a friendly... More

Went with a friend in early October and spent two hours luxuriating in waters that felt soft and healing. The hot pool is really hot, and soaked away the arthritis aches and pains. Moved from pool to pool, enjoyed them all. Stunning setting, lovely ambience, very friendly staff.
