Attended a water workshop presented by RCAC. Atmosphere was very pleasant, clean and instructors very well informed. Would attend another workshop if it is scheduled there

Apparently, by looking at the guest book, many people don't get to the spot. It was a treasure with stable exhibits and some shorter term ones. We love the vintage dresses.

Besides stunning traveling displays and the permanent Trading Post display, there are hands on activities, a splendid gift shop, terrific restrooms for weary travelers, and wonderful staff to answer any question about the area, the museum or activities planned. IT's an open and airy place but step outside and investigate the river walk and enjoy the geese, ducks and sound... More

We drove to Farmington from Pagosa Springs. WE stopped at the Farmington Museum located on Main Street. entrance was free. they had a special exhibit on predators, peregrine falcon and the wolf. This temp exhibit cost $5. This exhibit was well set up and used some good photos and stuffed animals to aid in the story. this was certainly worth... More

We had a great time for $5.00. Saw an art show which was the reason for our visit, then moved on to the raptor exhibit. Even the grounds were wonderful. This is the best $5 I have spent in a long time. There is also a lot of literature available at the museum about other things to do in the... More

For a small town museum, this one is worth a visit. On permanent display is a collection of local historical artifacts. The museum also hosts art shows; a recent exhibit featured original prints by Ansel Adams. There is a small bookstore with local guidebooks and other volumes, many by local authors as well as gift items representing Northwest New Mexico..... More

Having grown up in a trading post on the Navajo Reservation in the 60s and 70s I love the trading post exhibit; you can't see too many of those left anymore. We've also loved the temporary exhibits over the years, from Egypt and other places around the world. I think this is one of the best small town museums.

Nice museum along the Animas River. There was a Navaho rug exhibit-- spectacular! The museum store had some nice items, but also some silly trinkets and some Egyptian items (??) The building sits next to the Animas River and has nicely landscaped grounds. Very nice scenery for contemplating history.

This is a smaller museum that we go to when they have a special exhibit. I don't know how they do it but the museum is able to get some of the most interesting shows in New Mexico. For example, about a month ago or so they had one of the best exhibits of Ansel Adams' prints that I have... More
