We have stayed here on numerous occasions and have never been disappointed. Always friendly and accommodating. Will very definitely return.

Spent the weekend at the lake. First trip to the lake and what a nice trip. There were a lot of campers along the shore line of the lake. Weather was fantastic and the portable bathrooms were well maintained. Word of caution when driving along the shore line there are several spots where a vehicle can stink into the sand... More

We have always enjoyed so much living here it's such a small town, but great big beautiful Lake. The climate is perfect even in the Winter it's awesome. We can even take our boat out in the fall and the winter, maybe not in bathing suit but as long as you dress appropriately for mild weather it's great. The lake... More

I brought my boys down from Albuquerque to crew for a friend's hot air balloon during the Elephant Butte Balloon Regatta (ebbr.org). We had a great time, enjoyed good friends, beautiful sunrises and balloons over the lake, rainstorms in the evenings and boating and fishing in between. The boys had a great time and caught a bunch of fish when... More

Elephant Butte has magnificent views. The clouds almost don't look real - more like a beautiful painting. Very relaxing and pleasant environment

Came for a fishing trip, said to be that it had a lot of fish to catch from but we didn't at all, can't say maybe we weren't using the correct lure or bait or maybe the fishing didn't want to bite at all! But overall a good trip! The scenery was beautiful! The weather was perfect just a few... More

My family and I go here almost every weekend, we love it! I would give 5 stars but there is a lack of trashcans and sometimes it builds up. And the sand is horrific.

Beautiful place to visit. The lake is absolutely stunning and the marina closest to the Elephant Butte Inn has 8 passenger pontoon boats for rent for $60 per hour - great deal!

I visited the Lake on July 12, 2016. It was around 105 degr, not the weather for big hiking trips. The Lake is huge, nearly no shade except the little Cabins you can rent on a daily base of $ 10.00. You definitely need a cap and a bottle of water against the heat. The Lake is beautiful located and gives... More

We had a jeep with us so we really enjoyed the whole area around the lake. It was very sandy in places so we were careful, but we had a lot of fun. Also spent some time just sitting with our feet in the water.
