This little sanctuary for rescued animals was a wonderful place to visit. I love that the signage for each animal has that animals story as to how and why it ended up at this rescue. For being a place that is run on donations solely, the volunteers do an amazing job. My teens and I give it a two thumbs... More

I think I'm like many people in that I'm not a huge fan of most zoos. However, I understand there are animals and birds that need a safe place to live because they have been injured or become too comfortable around people and can't survive on their own. Some of them get to come here. It's not a huge facility... More

We stopped by to play the disc golf course.... it had lots of very long holes. Good course. But then we decided to go to the zoo ... and it was wonderful! So many different animals and very close so you could really see them! The staff was very pleasant too! I highly recommend this place!

I'll start by confessing I'm not a fan of zoos. This place is different and is not a zoo of course; it's a sanctuary, but it's still animals intended to be free inside enclosures. Most animals are rescues, either due to injury or because they imprinted on humans. Makes you wonder what's wrong with people thinking wild animals such a... More

We've been out here several times over the years, and it's still enjoyable for the whole family! This is a wildlife rescue organization that opens up a place for native animals that are injured, available for breeding efforts, or simply to save one from euthanasia. Take a leisurely stroll through the lovely grounds and observe these beautiful animals in their... More

The events are just great, you get to view the animals, have a wonderful dinner and then the entertainment. It is a great way to spend an inexpensive evening and help out the wild animals as well. Good Cause.

This place is a charity run (by a totally volunteer staff!!!) to help animals and educate people. While not a fancy place by any means, it is special and well-worth a visit. We were able to see most of the animals and had plenty of privacy. We made friends with the friendly deer who loved having company. The woman at... More

What a great little "zoo", tho it isn't really a zoo, it is a wildlife park for rescued native animals. The enclosures all have great informational signs. The animals seem happy and well cared for. And they are mostly pretty close. We had great encounters with the porcupine, Barbie, and The Black Bear. I will return, perhaps in the summer... More

Went here on a Monday last April 2015. We were the only ones there at first. Later, a couple more parties showed up. So we basically had the place to ourselves. You can see a lot of animals up close, as you tour the place yourself at your own pace. I was dismayed at the relatively small size of some... More

Wildlife West Nature Park is one part local zoo and one part animal rehabilitation facility. They take injured and other donated wild animals from the local area and nurse them back to health. Many they release back into the wild. But those that cannot survive on their own are kept for display in animal-friendly environs.
