We wandered in there during a visit to Deming and saw a nice, interesting array of fiber pieces by local artists. My friend and i picke dup a couple of small gifts and enjoyed visiting with the volunteer on duty.

Stopped in one afternoon to see what they had on display. Various types of art by local artists are showcased. The displays change monthly so you can return often to see new things. Fun place! Donations welcome.

Great community arts center!

We stopped in when they were having an exhibition of art from the local grade schools. One of the teachers was present and I could tell he was very proud of his student's accomplishments. In addition to the kids work, they also have a very good selection of paintings, sculpture, jewelry and photographs from local artists. It is definitely worth a visit!

A different show every month

The Deming Arts Center is always an interesting place to visit. Artists shows change each month, and can include children's art, recycle art, sculpture, glass, and so forth. There is always local art, jewelry, and Mata Ortiz pottery for sale. Deming is rich in artistic talent.

We happened by on a lark, and decided to stop in. There was a nice collection of various styles and pieces. The volunteer on duty was friendly and informative. I would be sure to stop by again if in the area!

It is getting old and kinda run down. They offer art shows by local artists and have good food to eat.

Glad i stopped

This small art center/gallery, just a block of two of Interstate 10 Through Deming (about 50 miles west of Las Cruces, NM) is worth a stop. It is on the corner of the main street, is pleasantly staffed by knowledgeable volunteers, and on this day had really good Mata Ortiz pottery and other art work and jewelry. I would definitely stop here again and recommend it to friends. We actually bought several pieces of work.
