Visiting Kruja Castle is pretty easy - hike up through the market and follow the relatively short but steep path into the castle ruins. There is no charge to wander around the castle ground (you will have to pay to enter the modern museum). Hike...More

You definitely must come to Kruja and visit the Old Bazaar, the Castle, the Skanderbeg Museum and the Ethnographic museum. The castle is located in a very strategic point of the city on the top of a very steep hill. The view from the Castle...More

Kruja Castle Near Tirana, Kruje, Albania. Nice little town in the mountains away from the main road is worth of visiting. Old castle on the top of the mountain. Small market with a lot of local product. And food and products are very cheap.

One of the most interesting historical castles in Albania. MUST in Albania because of significant period of rules of Skenderbeg, their national hero.

There really is not much castle left, but what the location has great views, has interesting, rather higgledy-piggledy ruins, and we liked the ethnographic museum. There is not charge for the castle as such,

Amazing view from the castle and history of the Scanderbeg. Also you can stop at the Old bazaar and shop for souvenirs or handmade products especially i remembered Kruja's Shop where the artisans make amazing olive wood crafts like spoons, bowls, nutcrackers etc.

There is a museum in the castle. The entrance fee was about € 3 per person, but I can't remember it exactly anymore. The children had to pay as well.
