A steep staircase leads from the entrance to the upper Wasseefall basin.
(It has several basins)
If it's warm enough, it's a refreshment to bathe in.
The path to the lower waterfall was quite wild and we did not trust to go down this path and especially not up again in the current rainy weather (wet climbs).
All in all, the waterfall is worth seeing.

Samed Choon is one of the 3 water falls in Khanom area. We only visited Hit Lat and Samed Choon.

Samed Choon was way better than Hit Lat and seems to be pretty popular among locals at least during the public holidays. We visited Samed Choon twice and on the second time, there were only us.

Waterfall is a small one, but contains a nice pool to swim and have fun in the water. Water is fresh and cooling. There is a swing in a tree, that you can use to jump in to the water.

If you are in to some adventure you can go exploring the waterfall upwards, as it continues and continues.

There is some uphill hiking to the fall, but the fall is refreshing and provides some nice views to the ocean as well.

As the waterfall is in the middle of forest, remember to bring your own water as there are no services nearby.

Get a map, rent a scooter and enjoy!

the owner of our resort recomment the samed choon waterfall, which is well posted from the main road but at the end difficult to find and to reach, because the road is heavy to drive for the last two a half kilometer.
it beginns with a nice plained road and it ends in a djungletrail de luxe. the trail is not plained with big holes and washed out lines and at the end very steep. there the thai people made two asphaltstripes for the cars, which are maybe 30 centimeter higher than the rest of the ground. motocicle drivers should use a low gear and take attention very much. at the end of the trail a small sign shows the direction to the waterfall. over a small djunglepath down we arrived after 30 meters the big pool of the waterfall. a wall was built up and so the waterfall fillded up a big pool with a great view over the djungle till the coastline of khanom beach. as we came there were 4 other tourists around and we had a nice smalltak, after one a half hour they left and we were alone the whole day. we had sunshine and no cloud was up in the sky and we enjoyed the coolness of the water very much. it was great to be alone in that great nature with all its extraordinary views. we stayed till the late afternoon. with the sinking sun the shadows of the djungle trees grew longer and the pool was in the shade finally. we took at least some nice photos and then we packed our belongings to drive down high concentrated that monkey trail of road we came up a few hours ago. we survived and we were very happy that we´ve been there.
we can recomment the samed choon waterfall very much. we had a great day in the middle of the djungle and we enjoyed the nature very much. it was great to feel the atmosphere of this extraordinary place. a mixture between poolfeeling and djungletrip.

This was really nice visit after a tour of other places in Khanom, so dip in the cooling water was more than welcome.

Might require some walking, depending of the car / scooter as the road is in bad shape.

There is a damn wall build to gather the water so there is place to swim. So really easy to access the water.
