I’ve had a great wine from here before but never visited the actual wine estate. Lovely grounds, building and staff. Very friendly wine assistant but didn’t offer food with wine tasting. I asked and yes it was available so had some charcuterie to sample the wine. Bought a couple of their top class V range.

Perhaps we expected too much after all those rave reviews and being the only wine estate we visited, but we were underwhelmed. Anyway: in absolute: we loved it! The gardens, the restaurant and the wine tasting, although the ones we tried weren't exactly my - well - my cup of tea.

Just visited for a few hours as a Wine Tour, from our base - the Erinvale Estate & Spa, so walkable. What can I say - a beautiful day, delightful spot on their Terrace overlooking the Gardens, great selection of 6 Wines to sample. What was there not to like ? Do not recall the price, but do remember it was not cheap - nor by the same token, did we feel stung.

Always a treat. We’ve never had anything but an amazing time here. The Rose Terrace is a great spot for breakfast or lunch and the waiters were incredibly friendly and accommodating. Cafe Fleur was a nice stop as well.

A return visit that did not disappoint. A stunning location. The food was excellent and my daughter's "special" of a non cream based seafood pasta was delightful. Reasonable prices. The afternoon was spent wandering the spacious and beautiful grounds, complemented by the views of the mountains. We will most certainly return

I can highly recommend Vergelegen Estate as its a beautiful estate with wonderful gardens and extremely well maintained. However don't expect to go there to taste outstanding wines as this estate is really renewed for its gardens (not its wines). However it is definitely worth the visit and a place to spent a couple of hours wondering the gardens. The next door Morgenster is the place to be if you want to taste some (great) wines!

A very beautiful place with lovely Gardens and charming old buildings. We tried their wine tasting - they had several options. A good deal it was, and the setting is so nice. There are several cafes and restaurants but we didn’t try any og them.

This estate has been restored carefully and looks amazing. You can wander in the beautiful gardens, visit the main building and library with a lot of historical information. 2 restaurants are available to enjoy a drink or a meal. Only thing missing was information about the vineyard, grapes and wines.

Brilliant Food Service and Surrounds ate at both restaurants and both restaurants were fantastic. The Rose Terrace was outstanding, and the cakes were delicious. The Pop-up restaurant Cafe Fleur now closed served delicious food. The Chardonnay wine was incredible.

Tammy is absolutely adorable! So suited for her position to host guests as they taste through the wines. We had been here before back in 2015, and the estate is just as beautiful as ever. The wines are really good, especially when you have a very knowledgable host and one with such enthusiasm for their job. Love that beautiful smile Tammy and thank you for a memorable visit! Be sure to book lunch at Stables Restaurant as well. The food is outstanding as well as the service.
