We just walked around without wine tasting or eating. The history of the winery is very interesting to learn. And what an experience the rose garden was; if nothing else, only this is worth of visiting, not to mention the old camphor trees and old...More

Wandering through the beautiful gardens, between the giant Kamphor trees you can get up to speed with the SA history in the restored farm. Wine tasting is a delight in the modern part of Vergelegen, walking through the gardens a total must!

This a very manicured estate. There is an entrance charge. We arrived for a wine tasting and a bite to eat but found that not even snacks could be served with the wine tasting although the Stables restaurant next door serves cheese/charcuterie boards. Not wanting...More

The journey from Cape Town to Somerset West can take close to an hour along a mostly non-scenic freeway, but it is well worth it the effort. The wine tasting, cellar visit and both restaurants are a delight but the star is to just quietly...More

The entrance will stump you a little, 10 rand fee just to get in. Hmmm.. But when you go, you’ll find it well worth it. Rose gardens spectacular, all other gardens immaculate. Wine tasting was lovely and everything was top notch
