Description:

Wild Oats is a local farmers and food market open every Saturday morning...

Wild Oats is a local farmers and food market open every Saturday morning until 12 noon. We are located on the western outskirts of Sedgefield at the turnoff to Sedgefield Island. An award winning Garden Route landmark we are not to be confused with the Scarab Craft Market to the far east of Engen Petrol Station or the Mosaic Flea Market across the road from Wild Oats. As a food market, our open times are limited due to the short shelf-life of many of our LOCALLY PRODUCED products which include: Free-range chicken, beef, pork and lamb, free-range eggs, multiple cheese, dairy and baked products including fresh gouda, cheddar, blue-cheeses... milk, fresh fish, fruits, free-range & organic vegetables in season, many traditional and exotic bottled goods, organic olives, berries, rusks, koeksisters, biltong & wors, famous artisan breads, award-winning cheesecakes and goats cheeses... and on and on and on. Also a fabulous range of hot-off-the-grill breakfasts, coffees, teas and fresh-squeeze juices and smoothies. FOOD HEAVEN! Come face-to-face with our local food producers every Saturday morning, come rain or shine.

Set at the western edge of Sedgefield village, this Saturday morning market has everything you could ask for in a community market: convivial atmosphere; fresh, locally grown organic fruit and veg; quality, locally produced crafts; yummy food and drinks; and cheery stall holders always ready to chat and smile. Fun for the whole family. Plenty of free parking.

Go early. It can be a hassle to get parking, especially during the peak holiday season. It's worth the stop though. So much to see and buy. There is bound to be something for everyone. A great vibe.

Traditional market with amazing food stalls. Check out the Protea stall as the prices are really reasonable. Get there early as Parking and crowds can become an issue later on in the day

I assume this Saturday was extremely busy due to the holiday season but the "3 sectioned" market was still very pleasant. A large assortment of ready to go food as well as fresh produce. Booksellers and arts and crafts are also very popular here. Parking may become a problem so get there early.

Every time we go to Sedgefield we go to Wild Oats. Going on Christmas Eve we knew it would be busy, so we were there early. The Wild Oats farmers market and produce side didn't disappoint, it's great to support the local farmers and the produce is great and fairly priced. Grab a cup of coffee, choose what you want...
