But with hope.... People shouldn't have to live like they do in the townships but with the government grants and charity being recieved it is to be hoped that things can improve. The people are friendly and the children seem to be getting an education....More

We were taken by our guide around a small area of the township and invited into a few homes. Whilst the grinding poverty was obvious the houses were clean and the people welcoming. At the township nursery we were introduced to the toddlers and carers....More

This might be a little upsetting but everyone should visit. The level of poverty that these people live in is unbelievable. But everyone here has hope and aspirations of getting a house and work. Truly amazing people. The schools are really great to visit.

I did this tour as part of the Hop On Hop Off bus. I was met at the bus stop by the guide, Africa, who lives in there. The leaflet says it lasts for 30 minutes, but we were still going 90 minutes later! Africa...More
