This is one of the hidden gems in the Cape. It is set amongst some of the most beautiful wine farms. The gardens are immaculate. These are nothing compared to the cars that are on display. As a car lover I was in heaven. There were cars here that you would never expect to find locally. From a BMW 328... More

In the middle of the stellenbosch wine region close to cape town is this beautiful setting of 4 barns on the Rupert estate. Apparently they have 300+ cars in their collection but only room to display 80 at a time, so the display gets changed every 3 months... The quality and variety is superb, ranging from the early days of... More

Some of the cars look like new and have changed since my last visit so well worth returning on your next visit to Frranschoek. Wonderful setting, so relaxed, not the crowded car show arena. A leisurely stroll around some of the most beautiful and best preserved cars in the world.

Varied collection of beautifully presented cars including some very rare models. Need at least three hours to fully appreciate. Bugatti Royale was a treat.

The owner of our guesthouse recommended we visit the museum. There was an entrance fee. The gardens around the museum are well kept and it is an easy walk around the exhibitions. The cars are beautifully maintained and the history of cars through the years are well displayed. Many of the cars would only be seen in photographs so it's... More

This was an extremely nice experience, there is nowhere in South Africa where you can enjoy this kind of exibition of properly maintained motor history. Thank you Johann Rupert for giving the public a glimpse of your collection. There is cars that the average person will never see anywhere else. Special thanks for giving the descriptions in Afrikaans!

A comfortable environment, well laid out and easy to get around. Entrance is so cheap and there is plenty of parking available. There are tours available but we just did it on our own.
