Free neat museum, and the bus tour is worth taking!

After reading other reviews, we knew the museum was open on Thursday evenings (and double checked the door sign a few days before to be sure). Great little museum with 50s... read more

The museum is free to get into . The amount of cool stuff in the museum made me stay there for the whole day reading and learning about the beautiful history of wildwood . Defiantly will be coming ban .

I ordered tickets for the Doo Wop tour, Shirley Cruz deducted it from checking account. The result no tickets, no tour. I called her twice and she said she would send them. Where does that money go? I talked to other people and this has happened to other people.N.J. gets a bad rap as it is, this makes it worse.The... More

The fee is $12.00 for a 1 and a half hour tour. The tour leave at 20:00 hours. Went I bought my ticket, the brochure mentioned a trolley tour. But as I was waiting for the trolley, a school bus with black tinted window park in front of the tour center. I had a discussion with the tour guide concerning... More

After reading other reviews, we knew the museum was open on Thursday evenings (and double checked the door sign a few days before to be sure). Great little museum with 50s memorabilia-wish it was bigger! We took the bus tour with our 9 and 12 year olds - a little nervous they would be bored. They loved it! Our tour... More

great little free museum to check out and the volunteers there are friendly with a lot of knowledge. Definitely take the Neon Trolley tour on Thurs. nights at 8pm cost $12.00 pp but worth every penny. Guide was very knowledgeable about Doo Wop era and made it a fun hour.

First, unless you're familiar with Wildwood's meaning of Doo Wop in reference to a style/era of architecture, you might think this museum is dedicated to music. It's not. Second, good luck finding it open because there never seems to be set hours and if they exist, they're not very convenient to anyone wanting to check out the place. This is... More

The Preservation Museum offers a very enjoyable bus tour of the famous Doo Wop style neon signage of the 50s and 60s. We knew little about the history of The Wildwood and learned a great deal about the architecture, and more interestingly, the neon signs that was it's claim to fame in the day. The tour left (on a school... More

We stopped and had a look around. There is a lot of neat old memorabilia from the 40s and 50s and 60s. And it's nice to take a look at how things used to be.
