I've been coming to the Teaneck Creek Conservancy for twenty years. When my children were very young, they called it the "wasteland park" because it was very overgrown and there were lots of discarded, rusty items. There are huge cement pipes that are unmovable. But since then, the pipes have been painted. the reeds/invasive species have been removed, the old... More

A lovely place to walk in nature to escape suburban hubbub. You can hike around the whole place in 20 minutes and enjoy the serene and woodsy beauty. Flat terrain, good for all ages, get some fresh air there!

We found this place by accident. It's a small area that has boarded and graveled walkways with wild nature paths. Some art projects made by the local kids are placed in strategic spots. Very cute. Perfect for when you need a quick exposure to nature in a short period of time and don't want to travel far.

This is a nice little park full of easy walking trails. The volunteers do their best to maintain it but it is a BIG job. There was a butterfly garden and some nice native trees and plants once with informative signs. I personally like the "wilderness" type of feel of it all but some may not find it so quaint.

I visit this reclaimed Nature Space all year round and as varied as the wildlife and scenery are each season brings a new perspective. Peaceful, Calming and Meditative with unexpected visitors all around (Deer, Rabbits and Too many Birds to mention). It's a great escape any time.

The labyrinth, the painted (super highway) pipes, the generous and informative tree labels (with the plates also reversed so people can do color burnishings on paper), the heartfelt sculptures that surround the Puffin Center, the benches, the bird houses, the painted rocks, the elegant bird migration stone plates. The marsh, the enormous matriarchal willow, the paths, and bridges. The rustle,... More

My kids (ages 6, 11, 13 yo) love coming here in all seasons. They run along the paths, explore the woods, and skip stones in the creek. My 13 yo and I like bird watching. Orioles, Nuthatches, Chickadees, Cardinals, Jays, and Eastern Towhees. Saw a pair of Fox Sparrows last winter.

I've been visiting the Teaneck Creek Conservancy for years. There's a very nice trail to talk on, a stream, picnic tables, benches if one wants to sit and relax or meditate. The park has an interesting history (it was founded by environmentalists, artists, and teachers), so it is also very educational. There are many works of art in various places... More

Since this small park is on the way back from Northern New Jersey to New York City, I have now taken several tourists to visit this little park. All of them, adults, enjoyed the art very much. Half a dozen of the pieces are very clever and a couple of them have a social edge. The walks are fairly pleasant... More

This is so worth seeing, just delightful and an escape through the wilds of the Teaneck wetlands and forests. We were not aware of its presence until recently, but what a delightful surprise.
