Volunteers tell you about each room and the history of the light house. Great views of the ocean from the window. It doesn't take a long time and is only open on Sunday afternoons, so it is great to combine with a walk on the boardwalk if the weather is nice.

The building was interesting, although not everything is authentic. The light tower was not the original. The man who gave me the tour upstairs in the building must have thought I was not being attentive. When he was explaining the furniture he made the comment, "who cares?" I did care and that's why I stopped to visit the lighthouse. I... More

The Sea Girt Lighthouse is well worth a trip to the beautiful town of Sea Girt. The lighthouse is well maintained, so it's easy to imagine what it was like to visit 100 years ago. Stop at the Parker House across the street for lunch on the outdoor terrace.

It's a pretty lighthouse, and very easy to access and photograph, but there isn't an awful lot more to say about it than that. You don't have to go far out of your way to see it so it is worth a look.

My walk around the Sea Girt Lighthouse was very tranquil, but unfortunately I was there on a week day in May and it was not opened. They only have Sunday hours so you can only view from the outside the other six days of the week,

Not a classic lighthouse with stunning views, but definitely worth a visit. Well maintained with good local history and informative volunteers. Hours are limited to Sunday afternoons.

Went here a few years ago. It's a nice place to go walk and see the ocean from up high. We went during the off-season so the crowds were less than during the summer.

As it was off season, it was very quiet and tranquil. The historic lighthouse was something to see for us lighthouse enthisiast.

It is a nice little building sitting on a corner lot. It looks more like a house than a lighthouse. I went because I like to photograph lighthouses. It is not easily accessible to photograph since it doesn't even have a beach view - they built something right on the beach across the street from it. I didn't know you... More
