The sound was really great. The staff was good, but apparently they don't want you to dance to Irish Rock and Roll! I did anyway, off to the side!

Saw Wynton Marsalis and the Jazz at Lincoln Center Orchestra here, on our first visit. Nice roomy seats in a theater with excellent acoustics and lots of class. Be aware that you need to search around for parking if you don't opt for valet service. This place is a gem.

Since moving to Monmouth County in 1999, I've attended quite a few performances at the Basie Theater. Back in 1999-2000, they were still renovating and they had a net catching the plaster that was falling from the ceiling! But renovations have been completed for many years now, and its a great local place to catch a show. The ceiling itself... More

My wife and I have attended multiple events there and have never been disappointed. The performances are from top flight artists and always enjoyable. The variety of events is excellent and all at a reasonable price. Nearby restaurants in Red Bank are excellent.

The staircase to the balcony is not for the feeble or less balanced. But the sound is great everywhere in the Basie. You can catch great acts here, in this beautifully renovated small theatrer, instead of braving an arena. Intimate atmosphere.

Count Basie is a first class theater located at the Jersey Shore. Varied acts throughout the year.....You Don't have to do New York City and its prices for first class entertainment.

Great place to see a musical act. Have been going to Count Basie for many years. There really aren't any bad seats. Always a pleasant atmosphere. They're upgrading the theater again and adding more bathrooms which will make it better. There's a bar upstairs, on the main level and outside in the courtyard which is nice during the summer. They... More

See some of the best groups and musicians in a small intimate setting surrounded by tremendous dinning options. This small old style theatre is the perfect place to see your favorite artist, acoustics are very good and seating is intimate. I had the pleasure of seeing dozens of top groups over the years and still enjoy going to Red Bank... More

The Count Basie Theater has a small town theater feel but offers big name acts. They host a variety of musical genres, and other programs of interest (like terrific Chinese Acrobats or big name psychic mediums) and occasional free movies. Over many years we've seen the likes of Trace Adkins, Bill Engvall, Charlie Daniels, Loretta Lynn, Donny Osmond, Mary Chapin... More
