Not sure how one of the most joyous theater events that I experienced maybe 10 times could have been transformed into something so so much less. Great parts of the play were removed (the epic dancing scene, the uproarious Fezziweg daughter science. ) and it...More

This is our theater of choice even though we live an hour away. We have seen about 100 performances at McCarter during the past 22 years, and only 3 of them were disappointments. Highlights include fabulous sets, professional actors well cast, and an interesting variety...More

The McCarter Theater Center is actually two theaters: the larger 1100 seat McCarter and the 373 seat Berlind Theater. I have only attended the larger auditorium where I have seen mostly concerts. The theater is excellent. The seats are raked so that heads of folks...More

We bought tickets for one of my mother's favorite artists and had dinner at a nice restaurant in town before the performance. It was a great, leisurely, and celebratory day! Thanks for making my mother's birthday so seamless and memorable, McCarter!

We have come twice in the last six months. Sloping orchestra section means everyone can see the stage, but the best seats are front three rows in the balcony because it's close to the stage. Whoever organizes the shows does an excellent job of bringing...More

This is a lovely old venue. There is not a bad seat in the house. The seats are comfortable and the acoustics are fabulous. It is a small theater and very intimate, especially in the orchestra seats. I have been going there since I was...More

McCarter is a modest sized venue that attracts a special quality of artists who want to perform in "Princeton". Princeton U. actually has its own concert venue but McCarter is adjacent to the campus and conveniently located footsteps from Princeton Station (the "Dinky Station") so...More

This was an absolutely fantastic show. The audience was so into the show you could hear a pin drop. The train on stage absolutely made the show with it being so real moving back and forth on stage. We loved it.
