We discovered this gem after walking the seawall one morning. Beautiful garden at the rear of the lighthouse was a wonderful experience. We took a tour of the lighthouse and found the history quite interesting.

The 1874 lighthouse has been beautifully restored and is still functions to warn sailors of the treacherous Hereford Inlet. The living quarters utilized by past lightkeepers and their families contain a variety of period pieces and artifacts. There are small exhibits on the history of the lighthouse, as well as a short video. Visitors can climb up to the watch... More

On a day trip, stopped to see one of my favorite light houses, Hereford Inlet Lighthouse. To my surprise, they had Steve Murray there showing one of his recent Children's books "To the Lighthouse! Had a very pleasant conversation and purchased a few books Mr. Murray had there. I come to find out about his dedication to the lighthouse, gardens... More

I like this light house a lot. You can see the light from it from blocks away. They have tours of the lighthouse.

I couldn't see paying 6.00 to go up in it. It's a very small lighthouse only the size if a house . The flower beds were beautiful. There really wasn't much for a gift shop either.

A beautifully restored lighthouse with amazing grounds. We enjoyed the tour. $6 as of this writing. There is a short nine minute video of the history of the lighthouse along with many artifacts on display. The lighthouse tour is self guided. You can go up to the floor just below the lantern room which is off limits to the tour.... More

This amazing lighthouse is a lighthouse lovers delight! Not only is it historically significant to the Cape May area, the gardens surrounding it are something to behold. Someone truly knows how to grow beautiful flowers and landscape it around the lighthouse. There's a gazebo in back with adorable pathways. And further back, you're lead out to a beautiful beach. Every... More

This is a delightful small Historic Lighthouse, with an informative museum of the Lighthouse keepers residence and the inner workings of a coastal Lighthouse, surrounded by beautiful gardens. A nice place to spend an hour or two.
