Nothing quite like this neighborhood in the region. I recently returned from Lisbon and walking around the Ironbound, you could think you were in Portugal - the blue and white tiles, the little egg tart pastries, even a store selling things made from cork -...More

Had the opportunity to have dinner at Ironbound. The waitress was superb. Told her I liked fish dishes and pointed me into the right direction. Service was friendly and food was excellent.

The other reviews made this neighborhood sound like a fun, charming place. It was neither. I walked up and down Ferry Street, had dinner at a mediocre tapas bar, and saw at least a dozen piles of feces along the sidewalk. The only redeeming part...More

If you love Portuguese food, you cannot miss the Ironbound! Most of the Portuguese restaurants are amazing- my personal favorites are the grilled chicken. The place also had lots of traces of Portugal!
