I'm always looking for something new to see and was not disappointed by my decision to tour Craftsman Farms. The tour guide was exceptional! She gave a great overview of the site, its history and furnishings. She was not only knowledgeable but also entertaining. The price of admission is well worth it and there's a great gift shop on site... More

I had taken two passes out for free at my local library in Sparta to the Stickley Museum. Tours are normally held Thursday-Sunday at a quarter past each hour and cost $10/adult. Our docent, Kathy was wonderful and extremely knowledgeable about both the home and the Craftsmen movement. The only drawback is that you can't take any pictures once inside... More

Interesting place to visit. A tour of Stickley's residence is not overly long and interesting facts about the craftsman movement and its woodworking are provided as well as a Tour/info of the grounds. You can walk around the grounds without charge but there is a minimal charge for the combined house&grounds tour.

We visited the museum on an especially gloomy day so didn't brave the elements to walk the grounds. We did take the tour which started in the gift shop (and surprise - ended there), cost $10 for adults, lasts an hour and was incredibly educational and interesting. The pieces within the house/museum are almost all original to Gustav Stickley and... More

I've always loved Craftsman style and was pleasantly surprised that this museum existed. I've wandered the property in the Springtime but would recommend a visit over the holidays. It is nicely decorated and the museum store has some neat items. It's located off of Route 10 West and is easy to miss.

What a lovely surprise this was. While visiting NYC I decided to meet a friend at this museum -- just over an hour train ride (NJ Transit out of Penn Station) $30 round trip fare. The Morris Plains Stop is two stops before Dover. You can get a cab or uber from the train for the short 2-3 miles trip... More

Sunday tour well worth it. Great information . Current pottery exhibit with interesting pieces. Reproductions available in the giftshop. $10.00 entry fee for 1 adult well worth it. Can donate along the tour in return for postcard mailings and flashlights etc as inside with limited lighting.

Grounds are beautiful and it was very interesting to learn about Mr Stickley, his philosophy and work. The issue was the tour guide (Kathy?) who was rather rude and perhaps embellished her facts a bit (Stickley was of the arts and crafts movement?) and perhaps dwelled a little much on details such as the wood grain of the piano. We... More

Such a cool place to visit. One bummer is that you can't take pictures inside. You really can see the beauty of the Craftsman style home and furniture.
